Hatha and Welcoming/Slow Flow Yoga
DefenswWise is truly blessed to have three wonderful, caring Yoga instructors. These classes are
accessible to all levels and abilities, with modifications offered for almost every pose to meet individual needs.
It is a great environment for beginners interested in building their practice.
All of the instructors know that everyone's time is precious and to that extent they work hard to help all students achieve
their best class experience every time they come into the studio.
Instructor Bettie Andrews:
Bettie lives in South Grafton Ma. She has two grown children and 4 grandchildren.
She has been working at the same health insurance company for over 24 years.
Bettie has been practicing all styles of yoga for over 14 years. She believes that Yoga has helped her overcome everyday stress and obstacles in her life.
It has also taught her to be at peace within herself as well as with the world around her. She also enjoys running and doing triathlons with her
running team and yoga has helped her to recover after hard races.
After raising her children, she was able to pursue her dream of becoming a yoga instructor and bringing her joy of the practice to
others. She wants to be able to teach others something that she truly believes is a way of life and not just a workout. Bettie studied Hatha yoga at
Old Common Yoga in Auburn Ma. Her goal is to continue learning more about all of the aspects of yoga
When she is on her mat she feels that nothing negative can touch her, and it brings her much spiritual peace.
She hopes to bring to her students the peace and comfort that she has found in her yoga practice on and off the mat.
Bettie really believes that yoga has taught her, and still teaches her every time she practices, how to be a better person.

Instructor Jodi Briggs:
Jodi Briggs has lived in Grafton, MA for 11 years with her husband and two boys. She was
the owner of Yoga on the common in the center of Grafton for 3 1/2 years. She is very passionate about her classwork and
had thousands of yogis in and out of the studio during that time.
Jodi has been teaching for a total of six years and now has brought that passion to DefenseWise.
Jodi calls herself a very gentle yoga teacher. She describes her style as

Jodi studied under Johnnie Gilesspe and Diana Horeshiet from Empowered
Yoga out of Wilmington, DE.
Instructor Dawn Geoffroy:
Dawn Geoffroy has been teaching group fitness for over 15 years. As life has changed, so has her approach to fitness.
Dawn holds multiple certifications including Group Exercise, Spinning, Kickboxing, PiYo, YogaFit and is also a certified Personal
This Yoga program is a slower-paced vinyasa class that includes a series of poses linked by flowing movements as well as static
poses designed to build balance and stability. In this class you will learn to synchronize movement with breath, building heat
in the body while exploring the balance between effort and release. Specific guidance is given to protecting the knees,
shoulders, hips and spine while simultaneously building the strength necessary to protect these joints long-term.
Dawn enjoys educating participants on the best form and function to get the most out of their time on the mat.

Monday Evening Class - 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.
Friday Morning Class - 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
